Here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

How do eyelash extensions affect natural lashes?

We guarantee that your eyelashes will not be permanently damaged. The condition of your natural eyelashes after extensions depends on the quality of the work that is done. We ensure that eyelashes do not stick together. That involves not using excess glue and choosing the right length and thickness of the eyelashes. And we can say with confidence that extensions applied by our estheticians are safe for your natural eyelashes. Our estheticians have been trained by the best experts in the industry and have their work checked with the utmost rigor!

Can you get lash extensions wet?

Yes, whether you are in the shower, swimming, a sauna, or just enjoying your time at the beach, you can get your eyelash extensions wet. The polymerization of the eyelash glue takes place in a matter of minutes. By the time the esthetician finishes their work, you can safely wash your face and take a shower. There is no need to wait several days before getting them wet or washing your face.

Can you wear contacts with lash extensions?

Yes, you can! When applying extensions, most customers don’t even take out their contacts. Removing and putting in contacts isn’t affected by eyelash extensions.

An added bonus to using contacts when getting eyelash extensions is that sometimes the contacts actually help protect the mucosa in your eye from the glue fumes. Yet, even the most sensitive clients do not experience any discomfort during the procedure.

How long do eyelash extensions last?

Eyelash extensions last on average 4 weeks. Eyelash touch ups are done once every 2-3 weeks. These touch ups allow you to restore the original volume of the lashes.

Touchup Process:
First, the esthetician removes any natural eyelashes that have grown back in as well as any eyelashes that do not hold well. After analyzing the lashes the esthetician  leaves only those eyelashes that can be adjusted.

When the esthetician removes the extra eyelashes, they proceed to the standard extension procedure. Usually, the time to do the “touchup” procedure is almost the same as the initial process of adding new extensions.

As a result, if you take the time to perform a proper eyelash extension touchup you actually save money.

How are eyelash extensions removed?

In most cases, you don’t even need to remove eyelash extensions, as they will fall out evenly and naturally, giving way to your natural lashes over time. After 3-4 weeks, approximately 20-30% of the artificial eyelashes will remain. At this point, you can go for a correction or remove the eyelash extensions all together.

If you decide to remove your eyelash extensions then you will need a special tool to remove them. Do not try to remove eyelashes with oil or other improvised methods! The glue is not soluble by any oils, so trying to remove them in that way could result in damage to your natural eyelashes.

Can you put mascara on eyelash extensions?

In theory you can. But the question would be "Why would you need to?"

If you have eyelash extensions and you still notice that you need more volume then you should ask your esthetician to add more volume the next time they do a touch up or to use thicker eyelashes. Remember, eyelash extensions are intended to make our lives easier, avoiding the constant application of mascara. Also, you may end up losing your eyelash extensions faster when rubbing off the mascara from your eyelashes. Try to use mascara only as a temporary help to increase volume if there is too much time between your touch ups.

How do you sleep with eyelash extensions?

Even if you sleep with your face in your pillow all night the fiber from which the eyelashes are made is resilient and returns to its original shape. There is no need to worry about which position you sleep in.

Can pregnant women get lash extensions?

Yes, they can! Eyelash extensions are not a risk during pregnancy. The procedure is absolutely safe for the mom and the unborn baby. Even in later stages of pregnancy you can come for your eyelash extensions.

What is the process of eyelash extensions?

Eyelash extension procedures can be anywhere from 1.5 to 4 hours depending on the desired volume and number of your natural eyelashes. A person has an average of 220 to 300 natural eyelashes on the upper eyelid. On top of every natural eyelash, an artificial one is added. That being the case, here are the guidelines that are followed with adding eyelash extensions:

  1. 0.5 mm spacing is kept
  2. Maximum contact area is utilized
  3. The optimal amount of glue is used
  4. Eyelashes must be put in the right direction
  5. Do not glue to adjacent eyelashes

And those steps are repeated around 250 times for each eyelash. It is impossible to do a “quick” procedure without losing the quality of the work.
